The Princess Project

"Never Underestimate The Power Of A Princess"

Party Hostesses

     Christina Baker     Alyssa Braggs

The Princess Project appreciates Christina Baker
for having two parties while part of the American
Rose family.

"The gift of giving happiness to another person" is the
valuable lesson Alyssa took away from giving a Princess
Project party. She says the best award she ever received
was "seeing someone with daily struggles and pain,
forget their troubles and smile and have fun for a day."
Alyssa would like everyone to take part in their community
and has done so herself through 6 years of volunteering
with Girl Scouts. She has won the President's Student Service
Award, Sports Award, and Active Lifestyle Award, as well
as numerous other awards and pageant titles,
both national and international.

     Reianna Desimone     Ginny Masteroni

Reianna DeSimone has participated in many
different volunteer activities, besides being a
Princess Project Hostess. Her own charity is
"Operation Bandaid" which benefits the
Ronald McDonald House and their wish
list. She has volunteered for Phila Cares Day,
MAR Day and Make A Difference Day.
Other programs she has helped are The
Children's Miracle Network, Chinese
Orphans, Cards for Kids and the Maribel
and Rosa Project. She has received many
school awards for academics, citizenship
and attendance and has received an
achievement award from her State Legislature.
As a graduate student with a 4.0, Ginny decided to add
a second graduate degree to her Psychology and History
degree--that of a Master's in Special Education. Her love
for children also led her to an internship as a guidance
counselor and a volunteer position as a Sunday School
teacher. An LA native, Ginny has been a part-time model
in commercial print as well as fashion. She is married to
a high school health and sports medicine teacher/coach.

Karley & Lisa MacMillan  Fay Robinson

Karley returned to the hospital where she has
been a patient, to be a lovely hostess for two
other little girls facing treatments. Karley
herself is a brave and empathetic little girl who
knows just how to bring a smile to someone's face.
Her parties included beautifully decorated cakes,
princess themed toys and pop-up books, and a
handmade door-hanger that says "Princess."
Karley LOVED giving someone a crown and sash.
She was happy that she made the little girl look like
a Princess and feel better."  Karleyloves the idea of
being a Princess and we at The Princess Project think
"she must surely be a real one herself !!!
Fay Robinson is the mother of Marian and
grandmother of Elizabeth (as well as John J.,
George, and Charles). She has helped with
their Princess Parties by sharing her home
and/or purchasing a tiara and toys.  At the
age of 80, she enjoys gardening, cooking and
baking, and attending church as well as the
UMW, the Legion Auxillary, and the Study Club.
In the past she was an Army wife,  a drug store
employee, and was a foster mother.

  Kendra Strickland    Erin Teague

"When you give you also receive--the gift
of a humble heart," is Kendra's belief. She
loves helping others especially children and
has had four Princess Project parties. Her
own volunteer program is called "Purse Pals"
and involves taking underprivileged girls
shopping for items to put in a purse which
she gives them. Kendra enjoys singing,
participating in school clubs, meeting
new people, and pageants. She has held
many different titles.
Erin is an honorary princess and enjoys
throwing princess parties with Kendra.
She is in Band and loves playing the obo.
She enjoys volunteering at the Pampa
Regional Medical Center. Last summer
she volunteered there for over 100 hours.
When she goes to college she plans on
majoring in interior decorating or culinary
arts. Her mom is a baker and Erin loves to
cook with her. Erin hopes to help plan
many more princess parties in the future.

   Carolyn Timmons    Stephanie~

Carolyn Timmons enjoys mentoring
young girls to help them achieve their
dreams. She has done a great deal of
work with troubled teens and is also
involved with and promoting her titles.
She encourages titleholders to meet each
other and to get out and have a great time!
In 2002, Carolyn was the Miss American
Rose Goodwill Ambassador. She has
especially enjoyed giving Princess Parties--
complete with a limousine!

Stephanie is a busy college freshman
who still finds time for plenty of
volunteer work. Her Princess Project
Party was a huge success. She raised
the funds to treat a Princess and two
of her friends to a tea party at a
fabulous tea room in a mansion the
Princess had always wanted to visit.
The tea party was followed by
horseback riding, another wish
of the honored Princess.

  Emalee~

Marian & Elizabeth Weyer
The Princess Project gives girls facing
life's challenges, a little of the magic,
the sparkle, the hope and self-confidence
we feel when we put on a tiara.
Our dream
is for many young girls to feel like Princesses,
no matter what the challenges of their lives
might bring
.
Emalee is 2007 Miss American Rose National
Duchess and National Ambassador Princess
She had a very fun party for a little friend who
was in the hospital
.

     Amber ~   Gail & Amber ~

Amber has always loved tiaras! After being named an
official Princess by The Princess Project, Amber and
her mother, Tracey, spent some wonderful girl time
shopping for fun items for a Princess party-in-a-box.
They mailed this to another little girl hundreds of
miles away. Thanks, Amber and Tracey, for sharing
the smiles and crowning another Princess.
Gail and Amber have sent a few "princess
parties-in-a-box" . Amber is a sophomore in
college studying for a business degree. She
is involved in dance and is a choreographer
for a local studio.  She has recently begun
working with several special needs children
focusing on forms of ballet technique.

   Samantha ~

Samantha  hosted a Princess Project Party at a Baptist children's home.  The reigning Miss American Rose National Junior Queen has also been a donor to Locks of Love.
